See Ya

Transfer week is always a crazy week but always super fun and full of

transfer miracles. We started off the week by going to the MMA dojo

that I used to go to when I was up in Topeka last, that was super fun!

Then we went and visited a bunch of people to say goodbye and other

stuff like that. Then we went down to transfers and it was so good!

All the sisters that I came out with went home, and that was a super

weird experience. But it was super good.

Then on the way back we have to drive on this toll road where the

stops are far and few between. So there is one stretch that goes from

Emporia to Topeka which is about a 45 mile drive. About 2 miles after

we passed Emporia, the gas light came on. HAHAH (and by the way, I

filled up earlier that morning. We are in a Jeep and it gets pretty

bad gas mileage) So you know we say a prayer in our hearts and I try

to not speed up the hills and keep the RPM's down, and we made it all

the way there! and by there I mean the off ramp. So there we are,

stuck on the side of the off ramp, we have a baptismal interview to

get to in 10 min, and dinner in 30. So some other missionaries come to

our rescue but they don't know how to get the gas to us because they

would have to go all the way down to emporia and back to get us the

gas, so we were contemplating what we could do when this police guy

pulls up and gives us gas and its only like a five min thing! Miracle!

And the coolest part is the guy said that someone had called it in

about 10 min ago and we had only been there for exactly 10 min and it

wasn't us, so someone was watching over us!

But other then that we have seen some super good miracles this week!

It's been way fun, we have been going around meeting recent converts

(because I didn't really know any of them) and we were able to find A

TON of people to start teaching. There is a quote and I'll paraphrase

but one general authority once asked the question "If the Lord was

going to hasten his work, how would he do it?" and then goes on to

answer it by saying that the Lord is hastening his work by placing

prepared people in the sphere of influence of HIS people. We all have

people that need the gospel, and I know the Lord is hastening his

work!

Love you all!

Another Week in Paradise

This week has been such a crazy week but so much fun! I swear the weeks are flying by and I don't even know what to write because it feels like only a couple seconds passed. This week is transfers and IM STAYING IN TOPEKA! So excited. I'm getting a new companion which will be awesome. His name is Elder Labrum, I was his zone leader in Manhattan and he is super awesome! Love that guy!

We got to see some super awesome miracles this week! On monday night this less active gave us a call and wanted us to come over so we went over and his girl friend and daughter want to be baptized! They stayed up until like 1 in the morning reading the Book of Mormon and watching work and the glory movies! We gave them a church tour this week and it was super good! They just gotta get married and then they are going to get married!

Then we have this other family that we gave a church tour with! It was an awesome experience. They loved the church, they didn't show up to church but we'll get them one of these weeks! haha and then super big miracle. yesterday we started talking with this lady getting in her car, she agreed to a church tour that day and brought her kids, she had to work yesterday but her 10 year old kid Leo came and he loved it! Love primary and should be getting baptized on the 30th!!

This week is going to be a wierd week, the sisters that I came out with are going home and bearing their closing testimony and it's kinda strange to see them out there. I gave a talk in sacrament this week and talked about the enabling power ot the atonement, and especially just letting things go. I've been thinking about that a lot this week. Because of the atonement you can just let things go. When you don't do as well as you think you did, or when you mess up (no matter how little) you can just LET IT GO!
LOVE YOU ALL!

So my first week back in Topeka has been the best! I love it up here,

the energy is so powerful and the miracles are super great! We've kind

of been on the go all week long trying to get work in and preparing

for some meetings. We had MLC this week which was super awesome! I

swear they happen like every five days but they really are so good.

This time we talked about sustainable momentum and how we can get that

momentum. It was a super good council and then we were able to go back

and have a super good zone training. It was just a bomb week!

We also saw so many miracles this week it was awesome! We found this

family that is super interested in the church and we have a return

appointment this week and just so many cool things happened. We ran

into this less active member from Sherwood when I was here and she

moved to this ward and just randomly ran into her. And I just have ran

into so many people that I already knew up here, it's like I'm coming

home. It honestly is a very sacred experience for me to be back up

here, I remember a year ago biking all over town, brand new training a

new missionary having no idea what is going on (that part hasn't

changed haha) and when we drive by old streets I used to bike, or

houses that we had super spiritual lessons, or stop lights where we

got shut down. I love it so much because I get to remember all of

those experiences and have even more! I just can't get over how happy

I am to be back!

This week I have probably talked about elder Hollands General

confrence more then anything. If you haven't listened to it, right now

is a good time to start! It's seriously the best, he talks a lot about

not fearing tommorow. It's so easy to have all these goals and things

that you want to change and be completely changed but then the next

day it fades and he talked a lot about how God just expects

profession, it's okay to mess up. In The gospel of Jesus Christ you

get credit for trying. And then my all time favorite quote is "God

knows all of the secrets you don't want any one to know and yet he

still loves you" and "the first great commandment is to love God with

all your heart might mind and strength, but the first eternal truth is

God loves you with all his heart might mind and strength" what a

powerful talk! L

Anyways love you all so much! You're the best!!

One Eternal Round

So everybody ready for a plot twist? I'm getting Et'ed to Topeka! TOP

CITY! So basically the last year of my mission I will be in the same

areas as the first time! Haha but I'm super excited! I loved Topeka so

much the first time and super excited to be back. I almost have the

same feeling as I had when i got ET'ed here a couple months ago.

But anyways, Life is super good! We had a great week here in the Wet

Side of Wichita! I love it here so much! There are so many cool

people, and the ward is AWESOME! Since I served here before I kinda

feel like this is my home ward. The people here are so great!

This week we had General Conference! I love General Conference so

much! The spirit is always so strong, and people love coming because

who wouldn't want to come here a LIVING prophet speak. There was so

much revelation received and so many answers given. I would have to

say that Elder Holland's talk pretty much blew it out of the water.

And President Monson's was so good! I love being a missionary during

General Conference (and it kinda freaks me out that this was my fourth

one...)

This week we had a couple meetings at the beginning of the week. We

had District Leader Accountability (DLA) which is basically just

leadership training and that was super good. and then we had

specialized training right after and it was super good. We read the

talk by Elder Holland called "The Miracle of a Mission" and how to

love our missions more and increase our love for the Savior.

Anyways, Gotta get going because I gotta pack and get up to Topeka

here pretty soon!

Love you all!
